After the ban on MNP in Pakistan and taking other measures to control the sale of new Sims at retailers' stores, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority issued directive to the sale of new SIM card in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa prohibit, Dawn News reported.The ban will result in a restriction of the sale of mobile phone SIM on all corporate and franchise stores.
Paper said that orders were by PTA to the direction of Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It is said that banning new Sims in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was due to excessive use of illegal SIMs in most terrorist activities in the province imposed.
