Beware the winds of revenge.

That is the great message that comes through the newly released trailer for 300: Rise of an Empire.

The first comprehensive look at the long-awaited sequel to 300 functions of the beautiful, but dangerous Artemisia (Eva Green), the general of the Persian navy.

"She is seeking revenge and she does it well," says Sullivan Stapleton, who plays the Greek leader Themistocles. He would know. His face in the minority navy Artemisia's wrath in the new film.

Artemisia's beef with the Greeks? Well, when she was a child she was her family, an act that is alluded slain in the trailer. In the film, she was raised, beautiful and shoot for revenge.

"She has sex appeal," says director Noam Murro. "She is ruthless and cunning. All things murder people. And she has a sword."

Not to mention a massive Persian navy.

300: Rise of an Empire is not a sequel to the 2006 box office hit 300. The film takes place at the same time but at sea mainly in small boats. Themistocles to his rag-tag collection navy to fight against the massive attack.

"It is visually linked to the original," said Murro. "But there is a whole different choreography of fight and war."

"The few against the many is still here," added Murro. "It's hundreds versus hundreds of thousands. It's about taking on the most powerful force of all with wisdom and tactics."

300: Rise of an Empire hits theaters March 7, 2014.
